When you look at me with your dark, brown pools,
My heart melts, and a tiny shiver re-affirms my love,
What a joyous thing, to become a Mother!
I didn't think I could feel with every inch of my being,
With the strength that I do,
An amazement that spreads into a gleaming smile,
And dissipates into an all-encompassing hug.
You are forever in my thoughts,
Each day, I discover new meaning,
While you discover new words and feelings.
True inspiration comes,
When your mind, heart and soul,
Combine into one thought, one whole,
Thank you, my son, for this wonderful journey.
